I remember Margaret Brown saying that this photo "Kiss" was taken during the Azalea Festival Parade, for Class A.

Thursday - August 27th

Here's one of mine taken at Honor Heights Park. There weren't many people in the park on the days I was out there so most of my photos are of the azaleas and dogwoods.

This was taken at Honors Heights Park during April. Guess I was in the park at the wrong time, he was just parked in the parking lot the 2 times I was out there.

Monday - August 24th

Margaret Brown's Class A entry "Farmers Market". The Farmers Market is open Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 8 AM to Noon.

Friday - August 21st

This is Robert Atchley's Class B entry "Lollipop". This is the only living "Munchkin" from the original Wizard of Oz, Jerry Maren. He was the one that gave Dorothy the lollipop when she arrived.

One of the events we covered was the Bare Bones Film Festival's Award Ceremonies. We served as paparazzi and then during the ceremony we took the onstage photos and backstage photos of the award winners. We then gave them CD's of our efforts to use for their website or advertising purposes.

Thursday - August 20th

"Cowboy in the Parade" is Anitia Barnes entry to Class B last month.

For the next month I'll be showing the photos that we took during the month of April for our scavenger hunt of Azalea Festival photos. These aren't your normal photos as we were trying to get the spirit of the month for the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce to use as advertising in the coming months promoting Muskogee.

The photos to be shown had to be associated with some event that went on during the month of April during the Azalea Festival. Each member was then asked to submit a CD of their best photos to the Chamber as well as 2 photos for judging.

Wednesday - August 19th

"Evening Star" was Mandy Lundy's Class A entry. She was playing around with a light source trying to get a different effect.

"Sun's Up!" was my entry from The Great Salt Plains out in Western Oklahoma at Cherokee, for Class A.

Tuesday - August 18th

Ever wonder what some people do on their weekends?

Robert Atchley and I ventured up to the Pawnee Bill Memorial Rodeo last night and tried to see how to take night photos at the rodeo.

This was the last event of the evening, around 11 PM. What some people will do for a few extra bucks!
